Dominion by MVestiige Dominion by MVestiige
ABOUT THE PHOTO
Featuring Nikholai Koolonavich
This photograph was one of my experimental shots during my photography exam based on the subject of water. I wanted to quickly take a break from average shots and try something a little different. I asked Nik to relax in the bath, while gripping onto the side. I wanted to try my best at getting an interesting focal point of view. The end result was incredible and looked somewhat dominating and powerful in our eyes, hence the title Dominion.

There's something very creepy about this, his hand looks at first glance almost spider like. Brilliant shot

Merci! My bathroom was incredibly cramped, so I was crouched in the corner on the bathroom, but this worked in my favour in obtaining this camera angle. It's all about moving around and experimenting!

Wow, this is an incredible photograph. The first thing I thought of was a spider, getting ready to strike. The tense hand dominates the entire frame, creating an interesting contrast to the seemingly relaxed individual in the background. The second thing I thought of was pain, a body in the last throes of agony reaching its end to cope. I love pictures that start my mind spinning! This is a fantastic shot, beautiful creativity. I'm so glad I found it!

The angle is just amazing!!. I feel the emotion of something that just rished my mind. Maybe anger? Hate?. Feels like you captured the moment of a rotten mind (reminds me of American Psycho, actually) in the exact moment when that mind is just feeling delighted, feeling the pleasure of the warm blood running though his hands... There is something just addictive about this photograph... That feeling... Oh, my goodness, this is just an amazing shot!!!

It's a book by George Orwell. There's a movie of it as well- there may actually be two. Once you read it or see it, you will likely recognize several well known literary references.

Wow, awesome perspective. The way the hand is positioned sort of looks like a body to me, as if the head is attached to the hand.
